His work, as he describes it, allowed him to know the Colombian territory in its totality, but especially taught him to love and value more the people in the regions and municipalities where they developed the social and educational work with the wives of the heads of state. His first experience in this work was to actively participate in the recovery of the Eje Cafetero after the earthquake of 1999.

Likewise, from the Military House of the Presidency of the Republic, in coordination with the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he had the opportunity to work on the planning and attention of multiple State visits, in Colombia and abroad, High-Level Summits, Ceremonies, and events with the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Colombia.

During the four years following his naval-military career, he served as Consul in New York City, where his work focused on serving Colombians in that part of the United States of America allowed him on multiple occasions to apply and strengthen his knowledge in these areas of logistics and State and Diplomatic protocol.

He has been a teacher, lecturer in ceremonial matters and since last May he has been a full individual member of the Spanish Association of Protocol.
